Inspired by the historical richness of Rome, this project features a set of high-contrast, simplified icons depicting two of the city’s most iconic landmarks—the Colosseum and the Pantheon. Utilizing principles of closure and figure/ground, each icon suggests the full structure without rendering every architectural detail, evoking a sense of timeless strength and grandeur. These icons became central elements in a travel poster concept built around the idea that “all roads lead to Rome,” a nod to the city’s pivotal role in ancient history and its continued draw for modern tourists. Through continuation and precise alignment, every element in the poster guides the viewer’s eye toward the Colosseum, symbolizing the heart of Rome’s enduring allure. A restrained, analogous color palette and minimalist background create a clean, contemporary look, while modern serif typography draws from current travel poster aesthetics identified during the research phase. A lone gladiator, placed according to the rule of thirds, stands guard over the road to Rome—representing both its storied past and continued sense of wonder.
